SI Swimsuit models star in Mario Testino's 'Towel Series'

Two-time SI Swimsuit model Gigi Hadid sent the Internet into a frenzy on Friday afternoon with the newest addition to Mario Testino's "Towel Series." In the Instagram-based project, the world-renowned photographer captures famous models, celebrities, etc. in subtle white towels.

But Gigi's photo is a little different. For the first time ever, Gigi and boyfriend Cody Simpson star together in towels. Sorry to be breaking hearts, but Gigi's love for her beau is undeniable as the two pose for the camera.

So that got us thinking...what other SI Swimsuit models and icons have been in the "Towel Series"? Lily Aldridge, Naomi Campbell, Irinia Shayk, Hailey Clauson, Emily DiDonato and Kate Upton have all stripped down for Mario. I mean, can you imagine anyone looking better in a towel than an SI Swimsuit model?

Our appreciation goes out to Mr. Testino for his beautiful work and for including the gorgeous ladies of SI Swimsuit in the "Towel Series." We can't wait to see who shows up next!
